Is Monty a private boat cruise in Budapest or shared with other guests?

All Monty cruises are private and reserved exclusively for your group.

Monty departs from River Yacht Club’s riverfront marina (refer to the Google map below). Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll share the exact boarding location and easy directions so your arrival is smooth and stress-free.

Need help with hotel transfers? Let us know in case you need assistance.

Monty is designed for intimate private boating experiences. Our cruises are ideal for couples, families and small groups of friends. Maximum guest number is 6 passengers, depending on the experience selected — simply contact us and we’ll help plan the perfect setup for your group.

More than 6 guests? We can also plan for additional boats, together with our collaboration partners.

Yes. Families are welcome on Monty. Children under the age of 10 years are obliged to wear a life jacket whilst onboard. Please let us know in advance if children will be joining your booking so we can prepare accordingly.

Cruise duration depends on the experience you choose—from scenic Budapest city cruises to longer adventures along the Danube Bend.

Custom timing may also be arranged depending on availability.

Yes. Our featured cruises are carefully planned around the most beautiful parts of the Danube, and in many cases we can personalise the route or timing based on your plans and river conditions.

Every Monty experience includes your private boat, skipper, comfortable seating and a beautiful route on the Danube—designed for you to relax and enjoy Budapest from the water. We also provide a bottle of Champagne and light refreshments.

While we love animals, pets are unfortunately not permitted onboard Monty. Thank you for your understanding.

Yes. Guests are welcome to bring their own drinks and light refreshments to enjoy during the cruise. We kindly ask that food and beverages are suitable for the boating environment — please avoid anything excessively messy, strongly scented, or likely to damage surfaces. If you’re unsure, just ask us beforehand.

Budapest is beautiful throughout the day, but sunset and early evening are especially memorable, with the city lights reflecting across the Danube.

Your safety and comfort always come first. River conditions and weather can occasionally affect departures or routes. If conditions aren’t suitable for cruising, we’ll keep you informed and work with you to reschedule wherever possible.
